Al Shindagha Museums

Located in an area that was settled by the very first inhabitants of Dubai, Al Shindagha Museums will comprise of a group of 20 museums. Once complete it will be the largest urban scale museum in the world. GSM Project MENA was awarded the first wave of museums – Perfume House, Dubai Creek: Birth of a City, Children’s Museum, and the Al Maktoum Family House.

I was hired by GSM Project and worked on these museums from October 2016 – December 2017. Having previously worked for many years in museums in the region, I was able to bring an institutional perspective and specific design expertise to the team. I started off by executing the initial concept design for the Al Maktoum Family House and then moved onto lead the design of Dubai Creek: Birth of a City.
